If you have no credit or bruised credit, secured credit cards will allow you to establish or re-establish your credit rating.
A secured credit card is a product in which the security deposit you provide is equal to your credit limit. Your deposit will be held in an interest bearing account with interest payable annually. You use the card as you would use any other credit card. You are expected to make regular monthly payments over and above the security deposit. When you close your account, your deposit and interest will be returned to you.
